A is for...

I decided I needed to get into the challenge at Inchy by Inch, so I could make a start on my 600 inchies goal, and the theme for this week is 'A'. Here are my two little gems :) :

Hello 2010...

...and finally Telstra has hooked my internet up and the best thing about it is it's WiFi, so both me and the boy can use it at once, it's so amazing :)...

Anyhoo, there was a little scrapping done recently.

This first ATC was made for the Swap With Me - ATCs blog by Sandy for her theme 'Aussie Christmas' and I went with Rolf Harris' 'Six White Boomers' for my inspiration. I used some wrapping paper from a birthday present, my new Unity Stamp Stars of Worn, Versamark ink, silver embossing powder, the craftrobo to make the little kangaroos, modpodge and violet lites glitter (which is hard to see in the photo) and tiny alphas!! Loved it, starting to learn some new techniques, entering the grown up world of EMBOSSING!!!

Some inchies made for the November swap over at YSB, I think they came out quite cute :) I've made some for the December/January Fruity Swap but I might hold off for a day or two or a week, we'll see..

This one I did using only bits and pieces that I got for Christmas while I was on vacation. It's for Liz's ATC weekly diary challenge, the theme was Your Name and it's Meaning, and apparently my name means 'The Perfect One' or 'Twin' or 'Palm Tree'. I chose the first one :)

And I have to have a little boast, I'm soooo lucky, the following is a picture of my awesome Christmas/Birthday present stash of goodies, I can't wait to start using it all. Ok... I've already started a little :)

More to come, stay tuned :)

Oooh sweet...

...blog candy giveaway!!

Over at A Load of Old Blogocks! Caz is giving away some stamps to celebrate her 1000th post! Have a looksee, her work is amazing, and I can't wait to get my hands on some of those copics markers!!!

My first entry...

...into an Inkurable Stampers challenge.

The challenge was simply to create something using the colours Pink, Brown and Cream (oh and a stamp) and here's what I did:

I used some letter stamps in texture paste, a butterfly punch and some modpodge, glitter and gems.

Gloriously swapping...

...up a storm!!

Here's one I did a while ago for the YSB October Spooky/Halloween swap that I forgot to take photos of before I sent it:

The following 2 are for a combined swap over at Allcraftz, for the themes Passion and Fear.

This one is for my passion which used to be storywriting, but it seems to have come off second best to ATCs at the moment :)

Here's some detail of the book which I love completely! It's off a site that offers free minatures for dollhouses, but I couldn't resist!

And finally the fear one, that I'm not quite sure about. It's a bit morbid. The idea seemed good, the execution, maybe not so much, hmm....

More to come, stay tuned :) ♥ ♥ ♥

Dec/Jan Inchie swap...

...over at YSB!!

Ok if anyone is interested I'm about to put up the Dec/Jan Inchie Swap at YSB (the forum for us Y Generation-ers), and the theme is:

FRUITY

Anything fruity: lemons, limes, grapes, strawberries, cherries, watermelon, bananas, kiwi fruit, apples, starfruit, pomegranates, passionfruit etc. or even an extension of fruit like: apple pie, fruit salad, fruit basket, jam...

For this swap I'll be setting it over the two months, as they are usually the busiest two months of the year for most people! Therefore they won't be due til the end of January, heaps of time.

Signs ups will close December 12.

Just to show you all how awesome these inchie swaps have been this year, here's a pic of all the inchies I have from the swaps (since August, and except the xmas inchies) this year, I'm hoping to put some sort of artistic masterpiece together maybe, so help me out and come sign up for this fun little swap!!

Thanks everyone who has participated so far, hope to see you all again in more swaps next year!! ♥ ♥ ♥

Got a little behind...

...in my posting, but here goes:

Life has been super hectic, guess it's just that time of year, but I've managed a little creative venting lately!

Warning a few pics ahead

Here's one of a set I made for YSB's November 'First Letter of Your Name'. I really like this one, I used texture paste mixed with acrylic paints to make the colour 'teal' for the background, ran a quick black pigment ink over it and then some crystal glitter paint, I stamped a 'tree' in stazon ink, added some 'turquoise' sequin ribbon down the side, with a 'turquoise' rhinestone and a strip from an old dictionary, each strip is a different word. I kept topsy turvy coz it's my favourite of the words I had :) And lastly a rubon letter 'T'.

Next, this one I made for Scrap Of Your Life's Vintage swap. I used a vintage image, covered in modpodge to make it look a little like water, added some shell pictures with a real one then some rope and bling!

The next two are for a swap at Swap With Me - ATCs. The first was for the fashion theme. I designed the dress, traced individual pieces of it and attached to cardboard, then found different pieces of patterned paper and bits of bling to bring it to life.

This one was a hard one. The theme was Horses and to begin with I drew a bit of a blank, but after looking on the net for images, I found this horse anatomy one that I kind of like, printed it out, added rolled book paper to the sides, lace and ribbon. Cut a taupe flower in half, inked a piece of bookpaper with horse written on it with itty bitty alphas and stuck them to the bottom and added brown pearl bling down the top centre.

And last, but certainly not least, one for the Scrap-A-Licous November Black and White swap. The background for these was actually an accident. I was meant to make it crackle so you could see the white cardstock below, but silly me forgot to seal the surface before painting. The result makes it look a little like velvet in real life, I like it! I also added white glitter to the stamped butterfly which actually has violet lites in it, so it's not quite fully black and white, shhh!

Well, that was a long winded post. There's a few more to come, but I'm still deciding what's going to happen over the Christmas months, coz I'll be moving and heading to my folks' place for a vacation but we'll see!

Stay tuned ♥ ♥ ♥

Pretty in...

...PINK!!!

Here's a couple of very pink projects (swaps) I've been in lately:

Firstly one for the YSB October Girl Inchies swap:

And one I kinda love, made for Sandy's ATC swap at Swap with me, this one for October's 'Woman and Pink' theme (note: I used the same technique for the cameos above and the fancy lady below, mod podge and glitter, gotta love it):

More to come, stay tuned :) ♥ ♥ ♥

...when you look 'through the window'. So that is my theme for a pick a theme ATC swap over at Allcraftz. And here's what I've done:

Looks better in real life. Now the question is, do I put up the pics of the ones I did for everyone else, or (if you're reading this ladies!) do you want it to be a surprise?? Up to you...
