Life has been super hectic, guess it's just that time of year, but I've managed a little creative venting lately!
Warning a few pics ahead
Here's one of a set I made for YSB's November 'First Letter of Your Name'. I really like this one, I used texture paste mixed with acrylic paints to make the colour 'teal' for the background, ran a quick black pigment ink over it and then some crystal glitter paint, I stamped a 'tree' in stazon ink, added some 'turquoise' sequin ribbon down the side, with a 'turquoise' rhinestone and a strip from an old dictionary, each strip is a different word. I kept topsy turvy coz it's my favourite of the words I had :) And lastly a rubon letter 'T'.
Next, this one I made for Scrap Of Your Life's Vintage swap. I used a vintage image, covered in modpodge to make it look a little like water, added some shell pictures with a real one then some rope and bling!
The next two are for a swap at Swap With Me - ATCs. The first was for the fashion theme. I designed the dress, traced individual pieces of it and attached to cardboard, then found different pieces of patterned paper and bits of bling to bring it to life.
This one was a hard one. The theme was Horses and to begin with I drew a bit of a blank, but after looking on the net for images, I found this horse anatomy one that I kind of like, printed it out, added rolled book paper to the sides, lace and ribbon. Cut a taupe flower in half, inked a piece of bookpaper with horse written on it with itty bitty alphas and stuck them to the bottom and added brown pearl bling down the top centre.
And last, but certainly not least, one for the Scrap-A-Licous November Black and White swap. The background for these was actually an accident. I was meant to make it crackle so you could see the white cardstock below, but silly me forgot to seal the surface before painting. The result makes it look a little like velvet in real life, I like it! I also added white glitter to the stamped butterfly which actually has violet lites in it, so it's not quite fully black and white, shhh!
Well, that was a long winded post. There's a few more to come, but I'm still deciding what's going to happen over the Christmas months, coz I'll be moving and heading to my folks' place for a vacation but we'll see!
Stay tuned ♥ ♥ ♥
